Recipes!

Recipes!

Our family recipe site began as a simple way to log our favorite recipes. It became much more. We can easily choose from recipes and tagged ingredients, or write-in what we need, to compile a grocery list that we can access from our phones in-store. The generated list doubles as a drag and drop interface where the app can learn how grocery items should be sorted in the future for a particular store, for a particular user.

MasterCard Content Hub

MasterCard Content Hub

MasterCard sought the ability to collect content from the diverse array of blogs they manage to create custom RSS feeds that group posts into similar foci. This would allow them to cross-pollinate content written by a number of separate entities worldwide by showcasing feeds from blogs of different origin.

Intel Analytics Hub

Several of the data sources that Intel wanted to use to populate their Analytics Hub database did not have APIs available. For that reason, Kenshoo and Sprinklr data was to be provided by individual files. While Intel could have simply FTP’d those files directly onto the server itself, the web portal I programmed provided better management of this process and displayed the state of all files in real time.

I created an interactive map that renders fertility statistics for all US states. I chose the jVectorMap library because it was (and may still be) one of the only tools that supports scalable vector graphics in IE6. I packaged the project using JSON as acting database to ensure its portability as a standalone website that could easily be dropped into any environment.

Purdue Pharma needed a better way to feature advocates for pain management and therapies on the site. Prior to this scope of work being approved, existing meta such as Voices of Hope (audio interviews), Advocate Perspectives (videos), and Stories of Inspiration (interview transcripts) were spread across several pages. I collected the meta and associated it with its respective advocate. Custom WordPress back-end queries were fed via Ajax to mustache templates on the front-end.

Personal Finance Application

I save all of my expenses to my budget site. It boasts an easy-to-use interface and can import all expense activity from CSVs that I download from my bank. Overage tabs appear when I’m over budget for a category or subcategory for a given month. Graphs and charts can be plotted for any (sub)category over any range of dates. The admin area provides tools for editing purchases.

Auxogyn was in need of a site to show off it’s Early Embryo Viability Assessment (EEVA) test. I created a site that facilitated complete and intuitive client control over all content. They were able to add, delete, and modify every bit of it on their own, even down to the featured text within the carousel. By employing Gravity Forms, they were able to build and edit their own forms. I designed a widget to allow total control over sidebar images on a per-page basis. I created several custom post types to help them organize and feature news, events, and FAQs.

SunnyD Book Spree

The SunnyD Book Spree is a program that offers books to classrooms in exchange for UPC labels. I created a stand-alone site in time for the 2012 fall semester that was consistent with the look and feel of the main flash-driven site they had at the time.
